Commercial EPCs are even worse: most residential properties are sold through estate agents, who arrange the EPC and publish the details on the property particulars. Commercial properties are often only sold as incidental to the sale of the business itself; nobody ever has any interest in providing or receiving the EPC, except that production of it is a requirement on the standard commercial enquiries raised (inappropriately) by so many lawyers, whjo seem to see themselves as unpaid enforcers of an unwanted law
