This will depend on the terms and conditions of your mortgage payment protection policy but generally it is between 30 and 60 days of your last day of employment that you will receive your income to go towards your mortgage payments.

NEED LEGAL ADVICE – My story is very similar to those of you. Due to hardship, I requested loan modification to Bank of America. I was current with mortgage payment. They stated that I needed to stop payment for 3 months and they would start the modification. I stopped, credit score got hit, they did the modification: The new payment was significantly more than the original payment. I declined the modification and now living with a much lower credit score which states that I was delinquent. Now I understand it was illegal for the bank to suggest me to stop mortgage payment. I am planning to take a LEGAL ACTION so that they remove the delinguency note from my credit history.

I find it very difficult not to compare what really happened with what was was aired by mainstream media.
Just one example is:

The professional mainstream media should be committed to share the REAL truth with the homeowners and consumers. They missed the mark so far. They have the power, tools and resources to fully support this issue. The REAL truth needs to get out.
