it’s not going to play out that way; the way it’s playing out is that without gov’t mortgage insurance all that’s left is private mortgage insurance and they then dictate the terms of the loans and the down payment requirements. Homes can’t be bought because the loans aren’t available except of course to the very wealthy. What this will result in is the end of home ownership for the middle income group. Frankly, I think that’s been the plan as a way to take advantage of this crisis.
