the extra amount from the remaining tuition balance of 23k would be your living expenses. So yes, you get to keep it. HOWEVER, it’s dispersed by the college. You don’t get it all at one time. They’ll divide it up and give it to you in 4 months increments. My recommendation for you…. do don’t out much more than you need. The more you take out, the harder it will become to get loans for school going forward.
