mortgage protection insurance is a must for any UK homeowner. The British Insurance MPPI policy is an excellent product too. I was made redundant in 1999 and mortgage protection insurance saved my home.

“This couple has been law-abiding and fiscally responsible into their 60′s.”

It is not fiscally responsible to take on a mortgage payment that is 37.5% of income. And it is possible these people are not law abiding, as they may have lied about their income on their mortgage application. How else did they get a mortgage whose payment takes so much of income?
