Oh man, I just linked that video to Ian for things to share with the class about the Onion.

When I saw this video, I thought about the article we had to read about Fake News vs Real News and how “human interest” stories are never really commented on, even though to me they are some of the most useless pieces of news. Along with celebrity gossip, human interest pieces rarely, to me anyways, are actually that interesting. I'm much more worried about how currency values or political decisions are affecting people than how a group of girl guides came up with the most ingenious car wash ever.

what happened to all of that money employers put into unemployment insurance? I know my husband worked for 20 yrs before getting laid off and his employer paid a percentage of the hourly wage for all those years.

America is fundamentally declining in all the activities that made it an exceptional country: Economy, morality, individual freedom, leadership, faith and everything in between. No one can legislate morality but we all can work on electing candidates who value the moral character balance sheet as well as the hard assets balance sheet. That is the basis for economic and social issues. Even Dick Morris is missing this point in his daily analysis. I hope he picks it up in future discussions.
